christian siriano’s collection for project runway was the most interesting—although not exactly wearable—of any in the show’s history thus far, in my opinion.
it actually looks real. in seasons past, designers have tried to make things ready-to-wear that department stores or boutiques would pick up immediately to sell. so, the clothes, although pretty and well-made, etc., were just your average boutique items.
if you didn’t know it was project runway…well, you wouldn’t know it was project runway. it’s dramatic, fun to look at and has that elusive “vision” thing going on. he’s obviously not looking for a commercial fallback should he not win.
i’ve liked him since the first episode, and now i really, really hope he wins.

I’m so glad to hear that Christian’s collection was a success. Since I haven’t really been able to breath or move, and had to leave the tents behind, I didn’t really check up on the rest of the shows (actually I did, but there was so much to say and most of it was my sentiments of disappointment, so I thought I would just let dead dogs lie).
Congrats Christian, I’m rooting for you too!
