@ THE SLIPPER ROOM (SW corner of Orchard and Stanton)
8:30pm, $5, MC Seth Herzog (above)

I met Seth at Paris Commune, and he was hysterical! Since then, I’ve been trying to go see the show, so I hope to make it tomorrow.

I love stand up comedy, and the smaller the venue the better.  It really gives the preformer the chance to be themselves and let it all out.

If you want to go see comedy in NYC, look for smaller venues (Slipper Room or the Cutting Room) and stay far away from touristy Times Square.

In LA, The Comedy Store, although world renown, is a great place to see local talent (Jon Reep long before Last Comic Standing) as well as celeb comics (Joe Rogan, Pauley Shore, Andrew Dice Clay, etc) that get down and dirty.

Love Funny or Die for everyday entertainment.  In fact some of those guys preform at this “Sweet” Tuesday night.

I posted this video yesterday from Improv Everywhere.  Clever bunch. Reader Teddy agrees :)
