The colonic wasn’t pleasant, but it wasn’t horrible either. The cleansing was definitely something I need to do, for my health, and just to prove all the rebloggers right: I am full of shit. I can no longer deny it.
I feel like it’s a gateway to a healthier lifestyle. Although I have always been conscious of what I eat (organic, light on meat, plenty of veggies, etc), there was a part of me that knew that if I did eat crap for a week, the consequences wouldn’t be noticeable to anyone else. But appearances aren’t all that matters. Eating healthy and working out make you a happier person with a more optimistic perspective. The dedication you apply to your health, you will also use with life’s challenges.
For those of you who are interested, a video of the experience (only before and after) will be up next week. I made the video because I think it will help others be more comfortable with trying it. Without it, my LOVE Fast would not have been successful. In my final day of the fast, the veggie juices will really be able to fully cleanse out my system.
(And yes, the clogging begins again, but in a more strategic manner.)
