Brands I've
Loved Forever

I received this email today from a man who I’m guessing doesn’t wear Prada (which to most fashion-conscious men is unthinkable).  Email me with your thoughts — there are several perspectives to take here.  I’ll post your snip its and give you my take on it.

I’ve recently been wondering why it is that women’s fashion brands make menswear. It seems kind of dumb that a guy with a lot of money would spend thousands of dollars to buy a piece of junk with a Prada, D&G, or Gucci label on it, when the same amount of money could get him an awesome hand-made Italian suit from Brioni or one of the serious menswear tailors that knows what it is doing.

So here’s my theory: most guys don’t really care at all about their wardrobe, they either have their wives buy their clothes or they buy brands that they hear their wives talking about (like Gucci, Prada, etc.)

   Agree or disagree?

There’s got to be some sort of explanation for it. I mean, why would a man with dignity wear a suit that was made by a company whose core competency is women’s shoes? It makes no sense.
