This message would make any girl smile….

I’m not smiling.

In fact, I’m sad.  The fact I can’t go for work reasons is not the point.  Despite my better judgement, I agreed to go two weeks ago after his persistence.  This is the first I have heard from him since.  Why is it men have no respect for women’s time?

The worst part is (and this one’s for you rebloggingrebloggingjulia), I really like him…more than anyone else is in a long time.

M is an American living abroad, so we only see each other for weekends at at time.  And not many at that.  But I was speechless at hello, and let me tell you, quiet has never been a word used to describe me.

At the end of the day, he’s a stubborn, 38 year old bachelor who still enjoys the party.  I’ve met this kind before, and they are a take-it-or-leave-it situation.  I left the party a while ago, you would think I would be over the men. Nope.

I have been on the his side of this conversation, and I didn’t want to hear begging or demands for an explanation.  So I’m not going to ask for one.  If he can leave it, so can I. It’s truly unfortunate, that’s my final feeling.

I did not respond.
