The LA based label was started in 2007 by designer Melissa Coker after working under visionaries at Helmut Lang, Vogue, W, and A&F.
My first thought was: sophisticated and chic with a hint of boho. A comfortable classic that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
The website describes the line perfectly:
“The Wren line is a study in contracts – at once easy and refined, classic yet whimsical….perfect imperfection: the elegant romantic with a tomboy’s touch.”
Although I had seen a couple pieces in the past, it wasn’t until I read a blurb about Coker in this month’s C that I was fully intrigued. They named her as one of LA’s brightest up an comers. After seeing then entire collection, I put my sunnies on.
