A Lovely Letter

December 1st, 2008 No Comments

Hey Mary-
It sounds like you had an active Thanksgiving.

Recently your blog has contained a few references to leaving NYC.  Obviously today there were some posts about moving.  Beyond that, there were some relatively hints of a relationship gone bad, and the desire to unleash the Julia lion on someone.

All of this made me curious, and I am sure I am not alone.  However, I would imagine that you have probably not revealed more because you want to draw a line with your private life on the internet, which is completely understandable.

Regardless of whether you ever elect to share via the internet, just know that there are people out there who care and want to see you happy.

Have a great holiday season!

You’re absolutely right…about all of it.

I’m not leaving NYC for good, just the holiday season.  My lease is up so I’m packing my stuff into storage for a month and then finding a place downtown after the new year.  Hopefully a neighborhood and space I like.  I’ve lived in several areas around NYC, and Murray Hill is a close second to the UES of places I don’t like.

As for the relationship, it didn’t go bad per say, it just went wrong.  Does that make sense?  Which is actually more painful than if I could explain the whole thing.  Couldn’t he have just cheated??! (Totally kidding.) Getting out of this apartment will help.  There are too many memories here.  Actually that’s not right.  The memories aren’t many, but they were SO memorable. Which is why I can’t let Julia loose :)

I really appreciate all of your support.  There are exponentially more of you who write in sweet notes and thank me for advice (or even just a smile).  So many thanks to you!
