“Marley taught me about living each day with unbridled exuberance and joy, about seizing the moment and following your heart. He taught me to appreciate the simple things- a walk in the woods, a fresh snowfall, a nap in a shaft of winter sunlight. And as he grew old and achy, he taught me about optimism in the face of adversity. Mostly, he taught me about friendship and selflessness and, above all else,:: unwavering loyalty”

Marley & Me by John Grogan (via mascarah)::

What a coincidence.  This was the movie on the plane!  This morning I was explaining to G how it’s not just a dog movie.  You see the challenges Jenny and John face and difficult life choices they have to make in terms of their relationship, careers, and family.  In the end, of course they’re happy, but several times during the movie, whether it be with words or even a glance, you can see doubt in their eyes.  For me, this component made the movie enjoyable and got me thinking about my own life choices. And then I cried….not about life, about the dog!

Life isn’t easy, but I think we’ll all land on both feet.
