Fall In Love With Food — SmittenKitchen.com
Check out Smitten Kitchen, a website for people who love food, enjoy making it from scratch, and don’t want to spend $10 for a quarter ounce of anything. Deb opens up her tiny NYC kitchen and allows you to peek in on her process.
Deb is the kind of woman who I admire for her skills and character. Her website is the kind of space that makes you feel comfortable in her presence. Within minutes you want to be her friend and watch her create these delicious dishes.
If your a mess in the kitchen like me, you can use her step-by-step photographs as a guide so you don’t have to guess if you’re preparing the dish right. Her voice is light-hearted and honest so you know she’s not snubbing her nose at you (like I feel many foodies do).
She gathers recipes from magazines, books, friends, etc and provides colorful, personal insight as to why she wants to prepare something.
Seriously, it’s like you’re sitting on a bar stool on the other side of the island while she chops, stirs, and bakes.
Grab a glass of mango iced tea and take a seat in Deb’s Smitten Kitchen.
