DECORATING ON A BUDGET

On today’s TMI, we discuss a few tips on spicing up your space without throwing down 4 figures.  Meghan even enlisted the help of an expert for DIY suggestions.

Below is another innovative concept from Small Notes.  Deborah Colton decorated her gallery’s bathroom using this method – it looked really beautiful.  I wish I had taken a picture :(

STAGE YOUR VERY OWN ALIEN INVASION

Either you just can’t decide what colour to paint your walls or your landlord is so mean that he insists you keep your walls such an antiseptic white that any moment you expect a nurse to drop by with a cup of pills.

Your rescue from this sterility comes from Vinyl Design, the brainchild of two Italian architects based in Sydney. Their efforts to create a simple way to decorate your walls have resulted in collections of vinyl decals ranging from romantic to 80s nostalgic.

Outwit your allergies’ moratorium on pets by letting a flock of Japanese cranes loose in your dining room. Stage an alien invasion in your kitchen with the Invaders wall decals. Or leave your love a message from the Velvet Underground (“Satellite’s gone up to the sky but it’s not as nice as looking in your eyes…”).  The decals go on in 5 easy steps and come off just as quickly.

Vinyl Design also love custom orders, so if you want to make a special birthday gift or a design for your office, bar or shop, go ahead and give them a call.
