Powder for Oily Skin, a testimonial by Nutritionista

A while ago, I emailed Mary about a makeup dilemma. I’ve been using BareMinerals’ full line of makeup for about a year. While I absolutely love it on many levels, the mineral foundation tends to emphasize my skin’s natural shininess. BareMinerals gives the skin a dewey look that’s pretty at first but on my skin, it quickly becomes oily. It also tends to clump and fade quickly. What I needed was something to replace the BareMinerals that gives me just as full coverage but helps me stay matte all day.

Mary recommended that I try a powder foundation and suggested MAC’s Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation. After a couple of weeks,  I’m so happy with the results!

Studio Fix stays matte all day, provides great coverage, and doesn’t look too “makeup-y” (anyone who wears foundation knows what I mean). Plus, it’s cheaper than other stuff I’ve tried. I’m not the type to spend a lot of money on makeup, but I do think it’s worth it to invest in foundation.

If you’re looking for a new low-maintenance powder/foundation, give Studio Fix a try. And no, before you ask, I wasn’t given any free products or sponsorship by MAC, this is just a genuine review from a happy customer.
