Today’s TMI reminded me it’s important to do things that allow me to truly get out of my head and let loose for a while.
I’ve been in a funk for the last two days, and it’s been pretty difficult to shake. Not even 30/60/90 worked!
In the TMI episode, I explain why I think I enjoyed the sock hop experience, aside from just learning the steps.
This weekend, try to find something to do that allows you to set the weight of your world aside and just have fun. Attempt an activitiy that does not involve the following:
- Cell phone
- The gym
- Anything on your To Do list
Brainstorm now. Don’t stress about it, that would defeat the purpose. But give it some thought. Here are some things I’ve been surprised I like to do:
- Wash the car
- Grocery shop
- Take my time to cook a real meal – even if that takes the whole afternoon
Things I thought I enjoyed but really don’t:
- Lay out
- Shop for specific clothes or beauty products
- Stay out late
- Research vacations
