I’m In A Movie

August 31st, 2009 No Comments

Don’t forget to watch the premiere of Youth Knows No Pain! HBO Tonight! (probably now on the east coast)

The documentary examines the history and impact of cosmetic procedures.  Mitch McCabe, the film’s creator and narrator, is the daughter of a plastic surgeon, but before her research, had never had anything done.  On the other hand, she spent thousands on cremes, soaps, scrubs, etc.

You’ll see some very interesting characters (2 of whom you know well) who choose to enhance themselves for very different reasons…or is it all the same reason?

I’ll tell you right now, I do not like the way I act in our featurette.  I could tell you the circumstances that surrounded this shoot and blame editing, both of which play a part in creating my “character” but at the end of the day, I come off as a brat. Just terrible.  But at least I can say I am not that person today. Last year I went through a lot, and I believe I have come out a better person.  The evolution, by the way, has NOTHING to do with the botox.  I still love the results and continue to see Dr.Bobby for injections.

Since I’m on the subject, let me tell you a little about my botox.  I initially got it because 4 huge ditches were transversing my forehead.  Since I was already getting it, after much consideration and discussion with confidants, I also had it injected into my scowl (between my eyebrows).  When people would talk to me and I was listening intently on what they were saying, I would furrow my brow at them making them feel comfortable .  Countless people commented on it and wrinkles formed as well.  Now I can still move that area, but in a less aggressive manner.

Anyway, watch the film, enjoy.  It’s probably one of the best movies you’ll see this year.
