When you Google “Valentine’s Day” this is the first image result. Interesting, don’t you think?
The reason I am thinking about Valentine’s day is because I’ve already been bombarded in CVS with heart-shaped boxes of chocolates and red teddy bears. Can it be that time again?!
For us single gals, it’s a reminder that yes, we are single. I personally am loving my situation. (Who has time for all of the lovey dovey cooing when you’re bouncing around all over the world?) Others are a little upset; I’ve been there too.
But here’s what I was actually thinking about in the midst of the red and pink fanfare…
This Valentine’s day, let’s plan ahead and do something truly special for the people in our lives that support us with attention and open arms throughout the year.
My next immediate thought –
I JUST got reacquainted with my finances after the holidays, and now it’s time to plan for another round of gift-giving. Ugh.
Not a good feeling if you’re thinking you want to do something REALLY nice for your significant other (for me, that’s my mom. haha. But she does fit the description above.) But instead of feeling burdened, let’s feel grateful that we’ve thought ahead, and put on our thinking caps now as to how we can spread the love without thinning the wealth.
I’ll reconnect with you later to see what you’ve come up with.Tweet this!
