8 a.m.-noon Saturdays
t’afia restaurant – 3701 Travis St. 

Green Market at Discovery Green
12 – 4 p.m. Sundays year-round
1500 McKinney
Operated by Central City Co-Op; some prepaid items for co-op members, some market purchases for passers-by.

Urban Harvest Farmers Market
8 a.m.-noon Saturdays
3000 Richmond at Eastside (between Kirby and Buffalo Speedway), back parking lot
Houston 77098-3102

Houston Farmers Market
8 a.m.-noon Saturdays
3106 White Oak
3:30-7 p.m. Tuesdays
Rice University campus
In parking lot south of Rice Stadium, University Blvd. near Montclair. Free parking in the lot at Entrance 9 or in the Greenbriar Lot, entrances 13A or 13B.

Why does no one I know shop there?!

I suspect it’s due to the fact that when I lived here (age 0-18), we didn’t buy the groceries for our families, often venture outside of the loop, and existed in a bubble.  Houston was also a very different place then.  Whatever the case may have been, I’m happy that both Houston and I have evolved to be more diverse :)
