It took four seconds for me to determine that Whooga had in fact not created a quality competitor for my beloved Uggs.
I let the cheap Chinese packaging and despicable two-tone chestnut suede slide until I could get down to the real issue: the soft sheepskin inside.
As predicted, this is where the boot fails.
To the touch, the “fur” is not as dense so it doesn’t hug your leg. More importantly (which I had never realized before), the sole doesn’t mold to your foot. It’s flat, hard, and does not offer the same support as an Ugg sole.
So, no endorsement here. The Ugg boot and brand truly stands up to its standards for quality and value.
I gave Whooga the benefit of the doubt because they have SO MANY testimonials on the quality of this boot. I can understand now why people don’t always trust bloggers. It’s really a shame that free crap really can compel people to “bend the truth.”. I hope you know you’ll always get my honest opinion here.
(Full Disclosure: Whooga boots were sent in exchange for a review and possible promotion, which I will obviously not be doing.)
