New To Las Vegas – City Center

December 4th, 2010 1 Comment

New to Las Vegas — CityCenter I only took a quick jaunt around the City Center last time I was there.  Everything I saw was the antithesis of Vegas - sleek, contemporary, clean open space…In other words, a place I might actually like to hang out! Also, it’s a LEED certified project, which means it’s built to high environmentally-friendly and efficient standards.  Here are the places that have received the best reviews thus far.  If you happen to hit one up, let me know your thoughts! Hotels: Aria The Cosmopolitan The Harmon Hotel - not open yet! Mandarin Oriental Restaurants: Sage Restaurant American Fish BARMASA Shaboo Not open yet: Comme Ca and STK that will be in Cosmopolitan (Photo via)

I stayed at the Mandarin and the rooms are great. This is not a casio hotel and you have to walk outside to get to Aria if you want to gamble. They ran out of money to finish the common areas of the mall and it shows. I would stay at the Mandarin again. It is better than the Winn but I haven’t stayed at Four Seasons so I can’t compare in terms of 5-star hotels.
