After my years of travel, I had to sell off or leave behind a lot of my table decor. So these days to create a beautiful table for guests, I’m getting creative.
On New Year’s I wanted a modern look with a lot of shine. Within minutes, it hit me. I should go into my jewelry box to bling out my table!
It’s so easy and FREE if you have the basics – white table, white plates, gold chargers, solid napkins.
I grabbed all of my gold and silver necklaces to adorn the candleabra and wrap around the napkins.
This is the Sachi and Babi necklace from Tootsies that Mom gave me earlier this year comboed with a necklace Leven gave me about 5 years ago. I just drapped them on!
The finishing touch was the pop of color from the wine glasses. Otherwise the table would have looked a little dull.
Looking back, the only thing I would have added would have been a table runner or something underneath the candelabra. But I was pretty happy with the impromptu decor and it made for a lovely place to spend the evening. Of course, when we sat down to dinner (delicious dish: apricot rosemary pork tenderloin recipe to come tomorrow), the candles were removed so we could chat and laugh 2010 away.
