But Path is almost the antithesis of Twitter and Facebook because it only lets you share with 50 of your closest friends. In other words, this isn’t a self promotion tool where you ask people to follow you. According to my friend and founder of Path Dave Morin, most people who are on it won’t even talk about it in public because they don’t want to be pressured to put people in their Path 50. Remember, you’re limited to only 50 people!
The point is that you can post pics and comments that are more personal because you’re only sharing them amongst your trusted group of real friends.
I think it’s a BRILLIANT idea because my closest friends are on either coast and everywhere in between. This app lets me keep up with them in a more conversational way, saying things I never would broadcast publicly (anymore, that is ;)
Here’s my problem: I can’t get my friends to sign up! Even those in digital media are still hesitant to get on board for one reason or another.
To be honest, I’m just excited to have a space that’s totally private.
Love the concept and the app is flawless. Great work Dave!Tweet this!
