I’m a HUGE Rodarte fan and would love to see what designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy have created for their first Rodarte museum exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) at the Pacific Design Center.
“By removing the garments from the figure and creating an installation around them, the focus will be entirely on the dresses and tutus as singular sculptural objects rather than pieces that are reliant on their relationship to the human form,” said Associate Curator Rebecca Morse. “Their inherent narrative qualities will be revealed.”
Quite the fashionista fantasy!
I saw the Manolo exhibit in London and the history of Chanel in NYC. Both were amazing. This one will be smaller, but it sounds much more inventive.
