Natural Hangover Remedies

You know how when you’re hung over you say to yourself, “I would do anything for this headache to go away!”  Well, here’s a list of “anythings”  from Natural Health Magazine you might consider:

  • Peppermint tea – when the the thought of water makes you even more nauseous.  It will also settle your stomach.
  • Water with lemon and honey – lemon helps liver detoxify your blood.  Drink with a small snack
  • Homeopathic nux vomica – take it before bed and in the morning
  • B vitamins, vitamin C, and evening primrose.  Take 1 B-50 or B-100 supplement, 1000 milligrams of C, 2,000 milligrams of evening primrose oil before bed.

A friend of mine recommends taking a 5-Hour Energy before you start drinking.  I’ve done it a couple times when I know I have a long night ahead and it’s worked pretty well.  That being said, I’m smart about how I drink.  I don’t mix alcohols, use mixers or sodas, and most importantly, drink in excess.

When all else fails, there’s always a McDonald’s around the corner!
