Looks easy, right? Wrong!
(Now you can laugh at my Bangles reference.)
Stacey, a truly inspirational yoga instructor at Joy Yoga, had us do this balancing pose in class on Saturday. It’s more challenging than walking in heels after two martinis, honestly.
Want to try it? Obviously you can stand up and do it now.
Here’s what you do:
- Take off your shoes :)
- Place one heel in front of your first two toes.
- Bring your palms together in front of your chest.
- Close your eyes.
Yep, the eye-closing will get you.
Now the question is, how do you become more stable? Yoga is a great way to find your center of gravity, but if you’re not a yogi, try standing on a bosu ball while you lift weights at the gym. Wither put one foot on the very top of the ball and balance on one, or put both feet on either side of the center circle (line up with your arches) and bend your knees.Tweet this!
