Retailers are not going to be happy now that Amazon has enabled us to not only price compare, but also purchase products instantly from our phone.

Red Laser and other apps allow you to check prices, but Amazon has the inventory and your account info to make purchasing easy on the spot.

There’s an argument this will put the mom and pop businesses in jeopardy. I believe if they have their store’s inventory available on Amazon, this app might prove to help them compete with the big outlets.

The bottom line is big savings for the consumer, and I’m not going to complain about that.
