I found this Makie onsie at Poppy’s in the Brentwood Country Mart 2 months ago. Now it’s my go-to shower gift because it’s unique and functional. I’ve probably bought 6 or 7 by now.
The Japanese design was inspired by the “Hadgi,” a samuri shirt. As you can see, the front closes with a bow instead of buttons or a zipper, which have been known to irritate sweet baby skin. The tie closure also saves mom time getting baby in and out. It’s a small feature that makes her life so much easier.
They come in white cotton and 3 colors of terrycloth for newborns and 3 months. I get the terrycloth because it’s warmer and seems more durable. Buy them on the Makie website here for $35.Tweet this!
