Smile Friday: Hilton Edition
Hilton and I have been friends for less than a year, but I know without a doubt he is one of the most amazing friends I will have in life. After battling cancer, he’ll tell you he sees life with a whole new perspective, but I believe his nature derives from his heart and genuine compassion for others. What he has learned though, is the value of not letting the little things bother you. He’s the most easy-going guy I know. Plus, he has a heart of gold. The combo is rare, and so I’m very honored to call him a friend.
Unfortunatley he doesn’t live in town and only graces our presence once every month or so. Every time I have the pleasure of his company and getting to know more about him as I person, I feel like a richer person.
Safe travels home Hilton! Come back soon.Tweet this!
Last night Debbie Festari, Melissa Mithoff, and I got behind the bar and went Coyote Ugly at Hudson to benefit the Houston Fire Department’s Christmas toy drive.
Melissa and I were at a wedding a few weeks ago and we thought it would be fun to take over the bar. Adam (the owner of Hudson) was with us and offered up a slow night for us to come in. So, we did, and invited everyone we know to benefit a good cause. Let me tell you, it was SO MUCH fun. Not that I would want to do it on a regular basis, but we had a blast!
Real Azul tequila and Tito’s vodka sponsored. People were tipping for the charity like crazy. We were shakin’ and shimmyin’ and sippin’ and singin’. A good time was had by all….I’m just glad I’m not the one serving up coffee this morning.Tweet this!
In the face of debilitating pain caused by Fibromyalgia, she is able to not only love, hope, and enjoy her life, but also share her journey with the world. The songs and quotes she posts, along with her personal notes that expose her true feelings on daily basis are inspiring.Tweet this!
Taking A-town with my man Hugo (and Trey if we can find him). He’s smiling, but he’s far from happy. (A shocked! Longhorn fan, you understand.)Tweet this!
Edward just wanted to show off.Tweet this!
