‘Tis the season to wrap my friends, so below are my two How-To videos.  I would make new ones, but since millions of people have found them useful, I’m keeping these guys alive.  I’m so glad to know you find them helpful!

I love getting pics of your pretty packages, so when you’re done send me some.  They always make me smile :)

WRAPPING THE BOX PROPERLY

MAKING THE BIG BOW

In order to make this bow, it’s crucial you buy the right ribbon:

I buy C&G ribbon from the Container Store.  The seem to sell it in TONS of colors online now, but the brand isn’t marked.  I would call customer service first just to make sure you’re getting the right one.  Either in the store or online, you’ll notice it’s pricey, but the spool goes a long way.

Another source for ribbon is Costco.  Buy the thicker ribbon with wire in it and you can make the same bows.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to email me: mary@morethanmary.com.  I’d also LOVE to see how it goes for you.  Send me pics of your pretty packages!

Mary Rambin Nameplate Necklace 2015

Last week I posted this pic on Facebook to share my post about a new 3D mascara and all of your comments were questions about my necklace!

The beautiful and delicate nameplate necklace is a design by Ana Corporan of Brevity Jewelry.  Leven gave one them to all of her bridesmaids before her wedding.

Brevity Jewelry Custom Signature Nameplate Gift

My super-trendy hipster sister wears hers everywhere so we had all been fans of it for a while.

With a quick visit to Ana’s website, I found out you choose from one of their fonts or customize the signature with your own writing!  You can also write a message instead of a name.  Pricing starts at $195 depending on what kind of metal you want (stainless steel, silver, gold, etc).  Click here to explore your options.

It’s the PERFECT gift for someone special – your friend or spouse you’ve already bought everything else.

The O & Co aged balsamic is amazing!

And the perfect way to say thank you to my Momma for helping me out over the last few months.

About few years ago I got her to put down the Ranch and get healthy with her salads. Now she’s obsessed with the Central Market brand balsamic so I’m going to blow her socks off with the sweetness that comes with age.

BRACE YOURSELF – HUMOR HIM

The Perfect Gift For Your Man With A Sense of Humor

Audacious Braces are colorful suspenders with fun phrases on them to keep your man smiling during the recession.  Here’s their stance:

STARCHED WHITE SHIRTS AND DARK BUSINESS SUITS ALWAYS FIT IN; AUDACIOUS BRACES ALWAYS STAND OUT. PICK A COLOR. SELECT A PHRASE. BRACE YOURSELF.™

Phrases include:

  • Buy Low Sell High
  • Ask My Girlfriend (or Wife)
  • Let’s Hug It Out, Bitch
  • Pimpin Ain’t Easy
  • Dress British, Think Yiddish
  • Don’t Kid Your$elf, It’s Always About the Money
  • In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash

And so many more.

This shit is hysterical and would be perfect for the guy who never wants to have a serious conversation. (Hmmm…does that really narrow it down?)  These tell-all sususpenders are $75, so he really has to be a goof ball for this to be a worthwhile gift.

I luv that all their products match not only each other, but also my other trendy accessories (pictured: Comme des Garcons wallet). Great price point too! The earbuds run $12-19 and the portable speakers are $35. I’m thinking these are great accessories to give along with an iPod as a gift. What other colors do they have? Pretty much any hue of the rainbow you’re looking for.

Faux Now, Real Later

I talked about my ring on the show, but I wanted to give you a link because this jewelry is a great gift for a girlfriend.

My Celeb Style Jewelry ring (Gwenyth Eternity Band$35) I wear on my left pointer finger is what I look to for inspiration.  Everyone thinks my silver and cz band is real, but alas, it’s not.  I bought one for all of the NonSociety girls and told them one day I would replace them with real diamonds.  So when I need a little motivation, I see the ring and keep at it.

You’ll also notice that I wear a diamond solitare necklace almost everyday.  My mom gave it to me years ago simply as a gift.  But for me, it’s a little piece of her that I carry with me everyday.  And when shit really hits the fan, I know she’s always there and I will get through the tough time.  It’s just reassuring.
