$10 mani. $38 mani and pedi. And it lasts!!

You have probably passed Nails Pro on Memorial Drive (just west of Westcott) a million times and never thought to stop in. One day I did, and was so pleasantly surprised with the quiet salon and quality service.

Meet Nancy:

Her manicures last a week on my claws. I’ve been to her 4 times now to make sure her skills were consistent. She has yet to disappoint me!

They’ve got big comfy chairs for pedicures. And they’re rarely busy so just drop in.

Multi-tasking on all cylinders needs more than 2 hands.

(Mani, pedi, eyebrow wax, tip = $50 @ BB Nails, my favorite spot in NYC, on Lex and 30th.)

Christine, my long time friend and manicurist, is featured in this month’s Alllure for her meticulous mani-pedi.

If you live in LA, stop by Golden Nail for a big bang for your $40.

Margarita Pedicure

Apparently tequila can be cleansing!

Soak your feet in warm water with about 1/4 cup of tequila to draw out the toxins.

Then take a fresh lime wedge and rub it over the bottom of your feet to help remove the dead skin.

Use another wedge on your toenails. It helps remove polish stains and makes your nails shiny.

Continue pedicure as usual.

Tip: Wait until after you’ve polished to drink the tequila ;)

I give it a 10

Perfect 10 is the BEST mani-pedi in Houston.

Fun tip I just learned: If you want to use two colors, always put the frosted color on first, then the sheer.

On my nails now are Essie East Hampton Cottage on the bottom and Essie Mademoiselle on the top.Quite a lovely combo. I always go natural on my fingers (as not to draw attention to my man hands).
