I think I came out victorious from the Missoni massacre at Target today. The ONLY thing I wish I would have scored was this black shift dress.

With this stockpile, I’ll be able to accessorize all of my black, white, and denim basics for everyday outfits. Needless to say, Mom and I will be very easy to spot this fall.

Missoni hits the Target racks today

Just a reminder. I totally forgot until I was scrolling through my tumblr Dashboard this morning. Headed out the door now.

Makes me think of when Meghan and I dove into Filene’s Basement in Union Square on our mission to find Missoni for less. That must have been 4 years ago. Seems like a lifetime.

UPDATE: Everything was GONE by 8:03am when I walked in! I didn’t even witness the madness.

This was the end of it after my friends had filled their carts! They were sweet enough to share the things they didn’t want.

I didn’t realize there would be home stuff too. The bedding seemed pretty, but I’m a stickler for threadcount.

I was able to score a few great pieces for my mom and I outside of the dressing room. I’ll post my loot later!

Head to Toe: Julia’s New (Skirt) Shirt

Megs and I are waiting for Julia at Shane & Shawn shoe boutique (Mulberry and Prince), the set for her Time Out shoot.

My mom had sent me this skirt that didn’t fit so I gave it to Megs. It was no surprise when she showed up wearing it as a top.

Tonight I’m off to a story slam at Nuyorican Poetry Cafe on the LES with a dating columnist for Hometown Quarterly (a NJ publication). Rich comes up with really unique dates, takes out a variety of women (Julia and Meghan had a blast going out with him), and writes about the experience. How could I say no!

A story slam is when the best urban storytellers get together and tell vibrant 5 minute stories. Rich and I will be judging along with a couple other people. It’s supposed to be amazing (I’ll give you a real update later).
